Incubella Hosts The First Canadian Chainlink Meetup
On May 27, 2022, The Chainlink Team hosted its first Canadian Meetup in Montreal. The networking style event, called Web3 Adoption in MTL: A New Hub for Blockchain Development, was the first Chainlink Meetup in Canada.
The Chainlink Team facilitates these events with partners worldwide to promote an inclusive community for developers interested in building secure smart contracts for blockchains.

As a small tech hub, Montreal's focus has been on new foundations, previously seen with being an early player in the artificial intelligence scene. Now the focus is shifting to the adoption of Web3 and blockchain companies.

Incubella was chosen by Chainlink to organize the event, along with partners, DefiSafety, 7Fingers & Web3MTL.
We were excited to support the Web3 community in Montreal, and saw a great opportunity to bring Chainlink Meetups to the Canadian ecosystem.
The turnout was fantastic, and witnessed many new connections made as smart contract developers met with project founders alike, looking to work together to bring their Web3 ideas to fruition.

Setting a new standard
Montreal showed that although it is Canada's third largest city, it's definitely in contention to be the Web3 hub in Canada, with over 250 enthusiasts registering and attending the event.
The traction did not go unnoticed, recently a non-profit community called
Web3MTL launched with the intention of building the largest Web3 community in Montreal, offering accessible learning & networking resources.
The community will be helping to facilitate future Web3 events including upcoming Chainlink meetups.
